Public health and the flu

Know more about GrippeMontréal

GrippeMontréal : The project and the team

GrippeMontréal is the latest initiative of the Direction de santé publique de l'Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal to help understand flu activity.

People who live, work or study on the island of Montreal are invited to participate in a new online survey project to track the flu's evolution, spread and level of contagion in the community.

Made up of experts in epidemiology, population health surveys, statistics, data processing and communications, the GrippeMontréal team has developed this website that enables you to contribute directly to public health actions.

Public health departement of Montreal

The mandate of the Direction de santé publique à Montréal (DSP) is to inform the population on its general state of health and of the major health problems, the groups most at risk, interventions and recommendations considered to be the most effective, and to monitor the evolution thereof. The public health department also ensures expertise in preventive health and health promotion by advising the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal on prevention services conducive to improving the health and well-being of the population.

To track, prevent, promote and protect the health of the population: These are the public health department's four main actions in Montreal.
